WHAT IS CAPTURES FOR A CAUSE?

Captured For A Cause an art exhibition and silent auction where every click helps stop hunger in our community. Lifesong Photography will be photographing artists at work, doing what they do best. These images will be on display along with unique pieces of art created by these amazing individuals. You will have a chance to meet many of the artists, hear their storied, celebrate them for the joy they bring to others and even purchase a piece of their work in our auction. All proceeds will go to Red Door Food Pantry to help end food insecurity in Bartow County.

The exhibition will be at Georgia Highlands College

December 5, 2025    5-8pm

They say "it take a village" and I am proud that my village includes the incredibly generous people and businesses of Cartersville. I am doing this project to raise money for Red Door Food Panty to help end hunger and food insecurity in our community. No family should ever have to worry about having healthy and nutritious food.

Food insecurity in the US has risen in the last couple of years and will continue to rise as inflation creates higher food costs. Lower job numbers and lack of wage increases to keep up with inflation make it difficult for many families to afford food and basic necessities. Food insecurity can lead to poor nutrition which in turn leads to the risk of chronic diseases.

Red Door Food Panty is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that provides food to over 200 families a week in Bartow County and continues to grow with the needs facing them. 

The space (Georgia Highlands College Ballroom) and food (Roadhouse Grill) have been generously donated for this event. I am doing all of the photography at no charge and artists are donating their work to be auctioned off. 

But there are SO many other expenses involved with putting on a successful fundraiser. The biggest expenses are printing and promotion. 

I have put together two levels of sponsorships.

Although we desperately need funds to put this event together, we are also so appreciative of anyone who would like to donate an item to be auctioned off. After all this is about giving back to our community by making sure Red Door Food Pantry has all the money they will need to help our neighbors.
