One day a little over 16 years ago I decided to switch careers and become a photographer because I loved photography and I thought I was good at it. But I didn't know what I didn't know and part of that was that I was only mediocre as a photographer. Sure I had a good eye and an artist flair but I had a lot to learn about lighting, posing, editing and business. I have spent countless hours learning from the best in the business so that I could grow as a photographer and be proud of the work that I do.

Today I see many photographers struggling with many aspects of this business so after having some incredibly positive feedback from speaking to different photographic groups and clubs, I decided to launch New Vision Photographic Education.

I am a strong believer in lifting up others as I grow. The more great photographers there are the better it is for the industry as a whole.

Qualifications : Certified Professional Photographer, Master Photographer, Director of Education for Georgia Professional Photographers Association and national award winning photographic artist including being a member of 2022 Team USA World Photographic Cup.

I would love to help you learn and grow in your photography journey whether you are a professional or an amateur just looking to increase your skill level!

MENTORING/SPEAKING TOPICS

MENTORING - This is done on an individual case based on what the client is interested in learning and how they learn best. These classes can be in person or via zoom. I will put a program together just for you!

SPEAKING/WORKSHOPS - These are done in coordination with the program organizer based on the skill level of the group and goals for the speaking engagement.

SHOOTING ON MANUAL

Learn how to use your camera to get the best images possible! We will go over when to use certain program modes and when to use manual, why not to shoot on automatic, the exposure triangle and the how changing the setting will affect the outcome of your images.

Learn to see the light! We will go over natural light, using a reflector, constant light and strobe lighting. We will discuss lighting patterns and the qualities of light and how those decisions help tell the story you want to tell. We can go over an array of creative lighting choices too!

Learn how to pose people to their best advantage, hiding the areas they are concerned about and highlighting their most positive aspects. Men, Women, Children, Couples, Families and more! We can even do newborns and maternity!

CHILD OR PET PHOTOGRAPHY

Children and pets both take a lot of patience and at times can be a challenge. Learn tips and tricks for having a smooth stress free photo session that yields beautiful images that your client will love!

Learn the important shots for event photography and how to communicate with the client. Headshot and product photography lessons feature poses, lighting and gear to easily take with you.

Learn from start to finish how to create one of a kind creative storytelling portraits including how to develop a concept and using Photoshop to finish it off.

BOUTIQUE PHOTOGRAPHY

Want to charge more for your work? Learn how to escalate your client's experience so that they feel the value in what you provide. It will have them coming back regularly and recommending you to their friends!

PHOTOSHOP BASICS

Photoshop can be intimidating when you first start. Learn the basics of photoshop editing. What blending modes or brushes to use, how to adjust light, get rid of noise and much more.

Advance your images to an artistic level! Advanced photoshop classes include compositing and painting.
